I’m very excited to announce the upcoming release of my first sewing sewing pattern: The Luna Crossbody!
I’ve been working on this purse pattern for over a year (unofficially) and developing the instructions for the past several months. The idea for this bag came from my desire to have a simple, small bag for my essentials while I am out running errands. I really don’t like to carry a huge purse…I end up over-filling it, and then it inevitably dumps out in the floor of my car when taking a tight turn! All I really need is my phone—in an easy-to-access spot—my money, keys, glasses/sunglasses, and some chapstick. And I need them in a modern, stylish container.
The slim, crossbody style with adjustable strap makes it comfortable against the body (I love wearing this on bike rides around town). And since it’s not very big, it’s ideal for travel, keeping your essentials handy without weighing you down.
It’s almost ready, and now I need your help!
I’m looking for volunteers to test the pattern and let me know if the instructions are clear and easy to follow, in exchange for a free pattern. This pattern is ideal for the intermediate sewist (or adventurous beginner). There are a few details that may require some extra patience, like sewing tight topstitching along seam edges and installing piping, zippers, and purse hardware. If you are interested in testing the pattern and providing feedback and photographs of your finished piece, please fill out the form below!
The deadline to apply is February 8th, 2019.
